SQWARRIORS

Recruit
A recruit must be promoted before becoming a SQWARRIOR™, who can then move and attack on the battlefield.

Soldier
The soldier gains the ability to move and attack one square forward.

Hoplite
The Hoplite, armed with a spear and a shield, has movement and attacking abilities both forward and backward. The Hoplite also can choose their next promotion to become a Knight or Cavalry.

Knight
The Knight is well-armored and can move like the Hoplite forward, backward and to the left and right squares on the board.

Cavalry
The Cavalry moves and attacks diagonally.

Commander
The Commander is a fully promoted warrior with the ability to move and attack the next square in all directions - forward, backward, left, right and diagonally.

General
The General is a Commander with the additional ability to march to the enemy’s line to win the game of SQWAR™! The General can move together as a Commander but if they fall in battle, the game is lost!
